Founder
Mexin was founded by Mex Smits, who started building websites at the age of 10 from his mom's attic room. By 14, he had launched CraftiGames, a Minecraft gaming network that quickly grew into a platform serving hundreds of thousands of players every month. What started as a passion project turned into a full team, real infrastructure challenges, and over a decade of hands-on engineering.
That experience, from keeping servers up under pressure and handling massive traffic spikes to building internal tools and managing data pipelines, is the foundation of Mexin. Today, we offer the same battle-tested expertise to other companies. We build backend systems, manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and Cloudflare, and run data platforms.
We don't just build infrastructure. We run it. Our team has been doing this day in, day out, for years. We know what it takes to keep production systems running because we've been doing it with our own platform the whole time.
