Built and operated the full backend powering MinecraftKrant.nl — a Dutch Minecraft server directory where community members vote on servers, owners manage their listings, and premium placements are sold via an auction system.
Running a server directory for 1,200+ entries means rankings need to stay accurate automatically, server owners expect a self-serve experience, and the platform needs a sustainable revenue model through premium placements — all without requiring constant manual oversight.
We built the platform on Laravel, backed by MySQL/MariaDB and a Redis cache layer, with DigitalOcean Spaces handling all media assets over CDN. Server owners register accounts, submit and manage their listings, and purchase featured or auctioned placement slots via PayPal. Community users vote to determine rankings. The admin panel handles moderation and approvals. Cloudflare sits in front of the entire stack for CDN, DDoS protection, and edge caching.
We build and operate systems like this every day. Tell us about your project and we'll show you how we can help.
